USA-made or China-made?

USA-made or China-made?
According to the manufacturer, UST Brands, there are two versions of their folding shovel: The "U-Dig-It" and the "U-Dig-It Pro". Notable differences are:Pro is USA-made. Non-Pro is China-made.Pro has lifetime limited warranty. Non-Pro has a 2-year limited warranty.Identification: Pro is packaged in a full box. Non-Pro is attached to a hangable card. Pro has a circular etching on its face which says "Made in USA".Pro includes a nylon carrying case.Pro has MSRP of twenty. Non-Pro has MSRP of ten.The UPC for the Pro is 701384100019. The UPC for the non-Pro is 811747021582.Full differences can be found at the manufacturer's site:https://www.ustbrands.com/product/u-dig-it-folding-shovel/https://www.ustbrands.com/product/u-dig-it-pro-folding-shovel/Amazon appears to be lumping both UPCs under the same item (currently this page) That leads to a description and reviews of mixed accuracy. So I'm hoping this review will provide context to the other reviews. And that Amazon will investigate if these two UPCs are lumped into the same ASIN.I received the Pro version of the shovel, which given the pictures showing the circular etching on its face, is what I expected to receive. It's good, and well worth the price I paid of 40 percent off MSRP, considering how much USA-made metal products actually cost. I expect the pouch to last while keeping the shovel from damaging the gear around it.If you order from a page showing the picture of the USA-made version, and receive a lesser-quality China-made version, my interpretation of Amazon's return policy is that you may return/exchange the item you received at no additional cost to you. And you should do so, because dollars will lead to faster corrective action than two-star reviews will: the cost of return/exchange will be borne by the seller, and if such returns occur enough times, the accumulating cost of misrepresenting the product will lead fixing this item's description, and lead to more accurate reviews. And hopefully to keep some manufacturing in the USA. That alone is worth the price difference to me.This is a good shovel, assuming you get the Pro version. If it interests you, then order it without fear that you'll lose anything - other than possibly additional wait time - given what the return policy states.
